Tony Curran
Biography
Anthony "Tony" Curran, born on December 13, 1969, is a talented Scottish actor hailing from Glasgow. He completed his education at Holyrood Secondary School before honing his craft at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
Curran gained widespread recognition through his role in the BBC series *This Life*, and has since built an impressive portfolio of work in both film and television. Notably, he portrayed the Invisible Man in *The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen*, where he humorously described his costume as resembling a "smurf on acid" due to the unique bluescreen suit he wore. Additionally, he took on the role of Priest, a vampire, in Guillermo del Toro's *Blade II*.
Beyond acting, Curran is dedicated to charitable causes, participating in marathons to raise funds. He's also an avid supporter of Celtic Football Club. His passion for Scottish culture is evident in his regular participation in the annual Dressed To Kilt event in New York City, organized by Friends of Scotland in honor of Tartan Week.
In April 2009, Curran announced his upcoming role as Lieutenant Delcourt in *The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn*, which was slated for release in 2011. He also portrayed the renowned painter Vincent Van Gogh in the *Doctor Who* episode "Vincent and the Doctor," penned by Richard Curtis, and made a brief appearance in "The Pandorica Opens."
