Syracuse, a recovering fisherman living in Cork, grapples with his troubled past as he cares for his ailing daughter, Annie, whose kidneys are deteriorating. His life takes a turn when he rescues a mysterious woman from his fishing net; she introduces herself as Ondine and insists on secrecy.
