In "The Baader Meinhof Complex," the brutal suppression of a protest against Iran's shah ignites a spark in journalist Ulrike Meinhof, who, disillusioned with her untruthful marriage, abandons her children to join forces with radical Andreas Baader. Alongside Baader's partner, Gudrun Ensslin, they establish the militant Red Faction Army. This trio embarks on a series of violent acts aimed at destabilizing what they perceive as a rising fascist regime in West Germany, driven by their fervent belief in revolutionary change through terrorism.
