Biography
Zak Orth, born Adam Zachary Orth on October 15, 1970, in Libertyville, Illinois, is a talented American actor celebrated for his comedic performances. He has gained recognition for his roles in cult classics such as *Wet Hot American Summer*, *The Baxter*, *Melinda and Melinda*, *In and Out*, and *Music and Lyrics*. Orth's diverse range includes a memorable guest appearance as Roy, a man tormented by psychic visions, on the Fox series *Fringe*.
Growing up in a musically inclined family—with his mother, Jane, being a piano teacher, and his father, Robert, an opera singer—Orth cultivated his interest in the performing arts early on. His camaraderie with the comedy group Stella led him to collaborate in numerous short films and their 2005 television series, showcasing his knack for humor.
In addition to his notable film contributions, Orth had a brief yet impactful role in Baz Luhrmann's modern adaptation of *Romeo + Juliet*, where he portrayed Gregory. He continues to expand his filmography with an upcoming appearance in the film *Vamps*, alongside Alicia Silverstone.
