Tatsuya Fuji (藤 竜也), born on August 27, 1941, is a prominent Japanese actor renowned for his contributions to cinema. Since making his debut in 1964, Fuji has appeared in over 50 films, showcasing his versatility and depth as an actor. He gained international recognition for his groundbreaking role in the 1976 film "In the Realm of the Senses," where he became the first Japanese actor to feature in full-frontal nudity and explicit sexual scenes in a non-pornographic context. Interestingly, this controversial film has not yet been screened in Japan despite its global release.
Fuji's talent has also been highlighted at prestigious film festivals, as he starred in two notable films—"Empire of Passion" and "Bright Future"—which were both showcased at the Cannes Film Festival, solidifying his reputation on the international stage.
