Andrew Scott, born on 21 October 1976, is a celebrated Irish actor recognized for his impactful performances across both stage and screen. His impressive body of work has earned him numerous accolades, including a British Academy Television Award, a Silver Bear from the Berlin International Film Festival, and two Laurence Olivier Awards. Additionally, he has received nominations for three Primetime Emmy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards.

Scott gained widespread acclaim for his portrayal of the cunning James Moriarty in the BBC hit series Sherlock, which aired from 2010 to 2017. His performance in this role earned him the BAFTA Television Award for Best Supporting Actor. He further captured the public's attention as the charismatic priest in the acclaimed second series of Fleabag in 2019, winning the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. His film credits include notable appearances in Pride (2014), Spectre (2015), and 1917 (2019). He received a Golden Globe nomination for his lead role in the romantic drama All of Us Strangers, released in 2023. In 2024, he took on the role of Tom Ripley in the thriller series Ripley, garnering nominations for both a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award, as well as a Peabody Award.

On stage, Scott's portrayal of Garry Essendine in the 2019 revival of Present Laughter at The Old Vic won him a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor.
