Frances de la Tour is a distinguished English actress celebrated for her contributions across television, stage, and film. Born on July 30, 1944, she gained prominence for her portrayal of Miss Ruth Jones in the iconic sitcom "Rising Damp," which aired from 1974 to 1978. Her talent further shone through in the film adaptations of the beloved "Harry Potter" series, where she played Madame Olympe Maxime in both "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" (2005) and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1" (2010).
