Kerstin Anita Marianne Ekberg (29 September 1931 - 11 January 2015), famously recognized as Anita Ekberg, was a Swedish actress celebrated for her contributions to both European and American cinema. Ekberg began her career as a fashion model and made a successful leap into the film industry during the mid-1950s. Renowned for her curvaceous silhouette, she gained widespread acclaim for her portrayal of Sylvia in the classic film La Dolce Vita (1960), which features the memorable scene of her playfully splashing in a fountain.
