Biography
Stefania Rocca, born on April 24, 1971, in Turin, Italy, has made a significant mark in the film industry with her versatile performances. She gained prominence for her captivating roles in notable films such as Nirvana (1997), where she played the striking blue-haired Naima, The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), and Dracula (2002). Rocca's career includes a standout performance in Dario Argento's thriller The Card Player. More recently, she took center stage in Alessandro D'Alatri's comedy Commediasexi, portraying the character Pia Roncaldi, and starred as Hannah in the 1997 film Solomon.
Raised in a creative environment—her father was a chief of security at Fiat and her mother a stylist—Rocca developed her artistic talents early on, studying piano, singing, and dance at the Teatro Stabile di Torino. After relocating to Milan in the late 1980s, she began modeling and pursued acting courses. Her passion for film led her to the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome in 1993, and she further honed her craft at the Actors Studio in New York City.
Rocca married Carlo Capasa in a private ceremony in 2013; they have been together since 2005 and share two sons. Her impressive filmography also includes acclaimed works like the erotic thriller Viol@, which earned her a Nastro d'Argento nomination for Best Actress, and the commercially successful Casomai (2003), solidifying her status in Italian cinema.
