Bo Derek, originally named Mary Cathleen Collins, was born on November 20, 1956, in the United States. She rose to fame with her iconic performance in the romantic comedy "10," released in 1979, which showcased her as a symbol of beauty and allure. Following this breakthrough, she appeared in several films throughout the 1980s, including Richard Lang’s "A Change of Seasons" (1980), and the adventurous yet controversial "Tarzan, the Ape Man" and "Fantasies," both released in 1981. She reunited with her then-husband and director John Derek for "Bolero" in 1984 and "Ghosts Can't Do It" in 1989, further cementing their collaborative legacy despite mixed reviews.

After the passing of John Derek in 1998, she found love again and married actor John Corbett in 2020.
