Biography
Valérie Lemercier, born on March 9, 1964, in Dieppe, Seine-Maritime, France, is a multifaceted talent known for her work as an actress, screenwriter, director, and singer. Raised in Gonzeville by farmer parents, Lemercier honed her artistic skills at the Rouen Conservatoire, where she immersed herself in dance, music, and drama.
Her career took off in 1988 with her debut in the television series "Palace." Lemercier quickly established herself in the film industry, earning critical acclaim and winning two César Awards for her outstanding supporting performances in "Les Visiteurs" (1993) and "Fauteuils d'orchestre" (2007). Her influence extended beyond acting when she took on the role of host for the César Awards ceremony in both 2006 and 2007, showcasing her versatility.
In addition to her film career, Lemercier ventured into music, releasing her first album, "Valérie Lemercier chante," in 1996, and later collaborating on three singles with various artists.
Beyond her professional achievements, Lemercier's personal life has also garnered attention. She was in a long-term relationship with lawyer Hervé Témime for seven years. Following his passing, she recently disclosed that she is now dating a 37-year-old man, embracing her life's new chapter at the age of 61.
