Biography
Issaka Sawadogo, born in 1966, is a notable actor from Burkina Faso, also recognized under the name Issaka Sawadogo. He gained significant acclaim for his role in the Canadian film "Diego Star," which earned him a nomination for Best Actor at the 16th Jutra Awards in 2014. His performance in the Dutch film "The Paradise Suite" further elevated his career when he won the prestigious Golden Calf for Best Actor at the 2016 Netherlands Film Festival.
In 2020, Sawadogo took on a supporting role in Philippe Lacôte's critically acclaimed film "Night of the Kings" (La Nuit des rois). Following that, in 2021, he starred in the lead role of Jorge Camarotti's short film "Ousmane."
