Carlos Irwin Estévez, professionally known as Charlie Sheen, was born on September 3, 1965. He is a prominent American actor celebrated for his versatile performances in a variety of films. Sheen gained early recognition for his roles in notable movies such as *Platoon* (1986), *Wall Street* (1987), *Young Guns* (1988), *The Rookie* (1990), *The Three Musketeers* (1993), and *The Arrival* (1996). His career reached new heights in the 2000s when he took over from Michael J. Fox as the lead in ABC's *Spin City*, a role that earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. Sheen became a household name portraying Charlie Harper in the hit CBS sitcom *Two and a Half Men* (2003–2011), where he earned multiple Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy nominations.
