Meshach Taylor, born on April 11, 1947, and passing on June 28, 2014, was a celebrated American actor whose career spanned several decades. He is perhaps best remembered for his memorable performance as Anthony Bouvier on the beloved CBS sitcom *Designing Women* from 1986 to 1993. His work on the show earned him a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

In addition to his iconic role on *Designing Women*, Taylor gained recognition for his portrayal of Hollywood Montrose, a colorful and charismatic window dresser in the popular 1987 film *Mannequin* and its follow-up in 1991. His talent for comedy continued with his role as Sheldon Baylor on the CBS sitcom *Dave's World*, which aired from 1993 to 1997. He also played Tony on the NBC series *Buffalo Bill* and showcased his versatility as Alastair Wright, a social studies teacher and later principal, on the Nickelodeon hit *Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide*.
