Karl Malden, born Mladen George Sekulovich on March 22, 1912, in Chicago, was a distinguished Serbian-American actor whose career spanned over six decades. Renowned for his compelling character portrayals, Malden infused his roles with a unique blend of intelligence and authenticity, captivating audiences in theater, film, and television. He gained critical acclaim for his performance in the classic film A Streetcar Named Desire (1951), earning an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
