Rachel Skarsten, a talented Canadian actress born on April 23, 1985, in Toronto, Ontario, has captivated audiences with her diverse roles across television. Fluent in both Norwegian and English, she pursued her education at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, where she earned a double degree in English Literature and Classical Studies.
Skarsten's acting journey began in the theater, where she showcased her skills in various productions at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto. Her television career took off in 2002 when she starred as Dinah Lance, also known as Black Canary, in the WB series *Birds of Prey*. Although the show lasted just one season, it marked a significant start for her.
In 2010, she landed the role of Tamsin in the Syfy series *Lost Girl*, portraying a complex character who is half-human and half-Succubus. Over its five-season run, the series allowed Skarsten to explore darker themes and character dynamics.
