Eric Lutes, born on August 19, 1962, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, is a distinguished American actor best recognized for his memorable television roles. He gained significant popularity portraying Del Cassidy on the beloved sitcom *Caroline in the City*. Lutes also showcased his talent as Jerry Stanton in the family film *Switching Goals* and as Jake Carlson in the series *So Little Time*, featuring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
Lutes' acting journey began with a series of commercials, which paved the way for his transition to the vibrant theater scene in New York City. He honed his craft in various off-Broadway productions before making the move to Los Angeles, where his career took off. Notably, he appeared as Tom Duran, the KACL station manager, in the acclaimed second season of *Frasier*, among other roles in numerous TV movies.
