Frank Langella
Biography
Frank A. Langella, Jr. (born January 1, 1938) is a distinguished American actor celebrated for his work in both theater and film. Over his illustrious career, he has garnered four Tony Awards from seven nominations, in addition to nominations for an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, an Emmy Award, and two Golden Globe Awards.
Langella's filmography is impressive, featuring memorable performances in films such as Diary of a Mad Housewife (1970) and Mel Brooks’s The Twelve Chairs (1970). He is perhaps most famously known for his role as Count Dracula in the 1979 adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic novel. Other notable films include Dave (1993), The Ninth Gate (1999), and critically acclaimed works like Good Night, and Good Luck (2005) and Frost/Nixon (2008). His recent projects include Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (2010), Robot & Frank (2012), Captain Fantastic (2016), and The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020).
