Jason Pai Piao
Biography
Born Liu Kuo-Yung in 1946, Jason Pai Piao has enjoyed a prolific career in the film and television industry, although his early work did not attract significant acclaim. His breakthrough came in 1975 when he joined Hong Kong's newly established CTV, where he quickly became a beloved figure through a series of popular costume martial arts dramas. After CTV ceased operations in 1978, Pai transitioned to other networks and made a remarkable comeback with Shaw Brothers, one of Hong Kong's leading film studios.
From 1979 to the mid-1980s, Pai Piao emerged as one of the studio's most prominent action stars, releasing as many as five films each year and captivating audiences with his martial arts prowess. His impressive filmography during this period solidified his status in the industry. In the 1990s, he continued to thrive, taking on significant roles in various action films and television series, including the notable "King of Robbery."
Throughout his career, Jason Pai Piao has not only showcased his talent in martial arts but has also left an indelible mark on Hong Kong cinema, becoming a respected figure in the realm of action entertainment.
