Ironside first captured the public's attention with his haunting performance as the menacing psychic Darryl Revok in David Cronenberg's iconic 1981 thriller, Scanners. His ability to embody chilling villains continued with his role as the sadistic Colt Hawker in the 1982 horror film Visiting Hours.
