Donny Damara, born Damara Prasadhana on October 12, 1966, is a multifaceted Indonesian actor, model, and politician of Sundanese heritage. Unlike some of his peers, including Adjie Massaid and Tio Pakusadewo, Donny opted for a more selective approach to his film career, prioritizing his education and personal life alongside his artistic pursuits.

His acting career began to gain recognition with a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Indonesian Film Festival in 1991 for his performance in "Perwira dan Ksatria," a film that debuted the previous year. This marked the beginning of his journey in the industry, where he showcased his talent and versatility.

After facing challenges in the Indonesian film sector, Donny transitioned to television soap operas, where he continued to make a name for himself. His dedication to his craft culminated in winning the Best Actor award at the 6th Asian Film Awards for his outstanding performance in the film "Lovely Man" in 2012, further solidifying his reputation as a skilled performer.
