Cynthia Gibb, born on December 14, 1963, in Bennington, Vermont, is a notable American actress and former model recognized for her extensive work in film and television. Growing up in Westport, Connecticut, Gibb's career took off at the tender age of 14 when she was discovered by the Eileen Ford Agency in New York City. Her modeling career gained traction as she graced the covers of prestigious magazines like Vogue and Young Miss.

Her transition to acting was marked by her first significant role in Woody Allen's 1980 film, *Stardust Memories*. Gibb further showcased her talent in the 1986 Oliver Stone-directed war drama, *Salvador*, where she portrayed an American nun tragically caught in a violent conflict.
