Cynthia Chinasaokwu Onyedinmanasu Amarachukwu Owezuke Echimino Erivo, born on January 8, 1987, is a talented British actress and singer celebrated for her remarkable contributions to both theater and film. Throughout her career, she has garnered numerous prestigious awards, placing her among the select few to be nominated for an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award, often referred to as an EGOT contender, having won all but the Oscar.

Erivo made her West End debut in the musical *The Umbrellas of Cherbourg* in 2011. She then took Broadway by storm, starring as Celie in the acclaimed revival of *The Color Purple* from 2015 to 2017, a performance that earned her a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical and a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album, along with a Daytime Emmy Award. Transitioning to film, she appeared in 2018’s *Widows* and *Bad Times at the El Royale*.
