Biography

Duncan Regehr, born on October 5, 1952, is a distinguished Canadian multimedia artist and actor celebrated for his dynamic roles across film, television, and the stage. His journey in the performing arts began as a champion figure skater, followed by training in classical Shakespearean theatre in Canada. In 1980, Regehr transitioned to Hollywood, where he gained prominence for his performance as Don Diego De La Vega/Zorro in the Family Channel series "Zorro," which aired from 1990 to 1993. His impressive television repertoire also includes guest appearances in iconic series such as "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine."

In addition to his acting career, Regehr is a talented painter with works exhibited internationally. He has been recognized for his contributions to the arts, receiving the Royal Canadian Artist title from the Royal Canadian Academy of Art in 2000. Furthermore, he was honored with an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Victoria, highlighting his impact on the creative community.
