Donnelly Rhodes
Biography
Donnelly Rhodes Henry (December 4, 1937 – January 8, 2018) was a distinguished Canadian actor renowned for his versatile roles in television and film. He gained significant recognition in the United States for his portrayal of the bumbling escaped convict Dutch Leitner on the satirical soap opera *Soap*, as well as for his role as Phillip Chancellor II on the long-running series *The Young and the Restless*. In Canada, Rhodes became a familiar face through his performances as Sgt. Nick Raitt in the CBC series *Danger Bay* (1984–1990) and Dr. Grant "Doc" Roberts in *Sidestreet* (1975–1978). He also left a lasting impression as Leo in the acclaimed series *Da Vinci's Inquest* (1998–2005) and was featured as Sherman Cottle in the reimagined *Battlestar Galactica* (2004–2009). Rhodes came from a family with a theatrical background, being the brother of fellow actor Tim Henry. His contributions to the entertainment industry were celebrated throughout his career, which spanned several decades, marking him as a beloved figure in both Canadian and American television.
