Biography
Sandra Ng Kwan-Yu, a prominent figure in the Hong Kong entertainment scene, was born to Ng Kam-Chuen. Her education at St. Stephen's Girls' College laid the foundation for her illustrious career, which began when she was just 16 years old. Renowned for her comedic talent, Ng often humorously addresses her unassuming appearance, making her a beloved figure in film and television.
Throughout her extensive career, spanning more than two decades, Sandra has appeared in over 100 films and television productions. She is particularly known for her collaborations with the celebrated actor and director Stephen Chow, featuring in iconic films like All for the Winner, Magnificent Scoundrels, and Royal Tramp. In 2009, she showcased her versatility by co-hosting the celebrity talk show Club Sparkle (星星同學會), further solidifying her presence in the entertainment industry. Additionally, she has made a mark as a radio personality on CRHK, where her show He She Hit (她他她打到嚟!) aired on weekday nights.
Sandra's talent has not gone unrecognized; she was honored with the Best Actress Award at the 2003 Golden Horse Film Festival in Taiwan for her compelling portrayal of a prostitute in Golden Chicken. Beyond her professional endeavors, she is a devoted mother to a daughter, born in 2006, with film director Peter Chan.
