Biography
Lucian Gabriel Wiina Msamati, born on March 5, 1976, is a distinguished British-Tanzanian actor, writer, director, and producer. Msamati has carved a niche for himself in the entertainment industry with his compelling performances across various media. He gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Salladhor Saan in the acclaimed HBO series Game of Thrones, which showcased his ability to bring complex characters to life.
In addition to his role in Game of Thrones, Msamati starred as J.L.B. Matekoni in the BBC/HBO adaptation of The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, where he further demonstrated his versatility as an actor. He has also appeared in the Netflix and BBC thriller Black Earth Rising, playing the character David Runihura, and took on the role of Ed Dumani in the Sky/AMC series Gangs of London. Recently, he portrayed Cardinal Adeyemi in the gripping drama Conclave, further solidifying his reputation in the industry.
