Ray McKinnon
Biography
Ray McKinnon, born on November 15, 1957, is a multifaceted American talent renowned for his work as an actor, screenwriter, director, and producer. He holds a degree in Theatre from Valdosta State University, which laid the foundation for his diverse career in the entertainment industry.
McKinnon gained significant recognition through his collaboration with his late wife, actress and producer Lisa Blount. Together, they were honored with an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film in 2001 for their project, *The Accountant*. This film was produced under their production company, Ginny Mule Pictures, which McKinnon co-founded with Blount and fellow actor Walton Goggins.
In addition to his Oscar-winning work, McKinnon has appeared in various television series and films, showcasing his range and versatility as an actor. Following the passing of Blount on October 25, 2010, he has continued to honor her legacy while pursuing his creative endeavors. Currently, he resides in Little Rock, Arkansas, a place that holds personal significance as the hometown of his late wife.
