Deepika Padukone, born on January 5, 1986, is a renowned Indian actress celebrated for her significant contributions to the film industry. She ranks among the highest-paid actresses globally and is often recognized in media as one of the most beloved and appealing figures in India. With a successful career primarily in Hindi cinema, Padukone has garnered numerous accolades, including three prestigious Filmfare Awards.

The daughter of acclaimed badminton player Prakash Padukone, she was born in Copenhagen and grew up in Bangalore. Initially, she pursued badminton at a national level but transitioned to modeling and subsequently acting. Her film career commenced in 2006 with the Kannada movie Aishwarya, where she played the lead. She made a remarkable debut in Bollywood with the 2007 hit Om Shanti Om, which earned her a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
