Alberto Manuel Rodríguez-Gallego González de Mendoza was a prominent Argentine actor whose illustrious career spanned over eight decades, from 1930 until 2005. With a remarkable repertoire, he graced the screen in 114 films, establishing himself as a significant figure in Argentine cinema.

Throughout his extensive career, De Mendoza showcased his talent in various genres, most notably in films such as "Adán y la serpiente" (1946) and "A hierro muere" (1962), frequently collaborating with fellow actress Olga Zubarry. In the late 1960s and 1970s, he ventured into the realm of spaghetti Westerns, further diversifying his portfolio. One of his standout performances came in the 1973 cult classic "Horror Express," where he shared the screen with iconic actors Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, and Telly Savalas.

In addition to his film work, De Mendoza became a household name in Argentina through his role in the beloved television series "El Rafa," which aired from 1980 to 1982. He also appeared in the less well-known series "El Oriental" from 1982 to 1983, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

Alberto de Mendoza passed away in Madrid on December 12, 2011, at the age of 88, leaving behind a rich legacy that continues to resonate in the world of Argentine cinema.
