Biography
Lesley-Ann Brandt, originally from Cape Town, South Africa, has quickly risen to prominence in New Zealand's entertainment scene. In 1999, she relocated to Auckland with her family, setting the stage for her unconventional journey into acting. Transitioning from a career as an IT Recruitment Consultant, she landed her breakthrough role in the popular comedy series 'Diplomatic Immunity,' where she showcased her talent alongside renowned actor Craig Parker, known for his work in 'Spartacus,' 'The Lord of the Rings,' and 'Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.'
Brandt began her career in modeling, successfully securing major national and international campaigns as well as high-profile TV commercials. Her modeling work attracted the attention of casting directors, who encouraged her to explore acting more seriously. Despite juggling a full-time job, she dedicated herself to honing her craft by training with various acting coaches both in New Zealand and abroad.
In addition to her notable role as Naevia in the Starz series 'Spartacus: Blood and Sand,' Brandt has made guest appearances on popular New Zealand series such as 'Shortland Street' and 'This Is Not My Life.' Recently, she completed filming her debut feature film, 'Hopes and Dreams.' Fluent in Afrikaans and an avid hockey player, Brandt is currently based in Los Angeles, where she continues to pursue her acting career.
