Jeremy Kemp (3 January 1935 - 19 July 2019) was a distinguished English actor celebrated for his captivating performances in both television and film. Born Jeremy Walker in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, he was the son of Elsa May (née Kemp) and Edmund Reginald Walker, an engineer. Kemp honed his craft at the Central School of Speech and Drama, which paved the way for a dynamic career in acting.
Kemp gained recognition for his roles in popular miniseries such as "The Winds of War" and was featured in acclaimed productions like "The Blue Max" and "Z-Cars." His extensive television portfolio includes notable series like "Colditz," "Space: 1999," and several American shows, including "Hart to Hart," "The Greatest American Hero," "The Fall Guy," "Conan the Adventurer," "Star Trek: The Next Generation," "War and Remembrance," and "Murder, She Wrote."
In addition to his television work, Kemp's film career was marked by performances in "Dr. Terror's House of Horrors," "Operation Crossbow," "A Bridge Too Far," "Top Secret!," and the beloved romantic comedy "Four Weddings and a Funeral."
