Biography
Bruce Tong Yim-Chaan, hailing from Hong Kong, embarked on his acting journey with the 1970 action-packed film "Kung Fu Vengeance." He soon found himself collaborating with the legendary Jackie Chan, taking on the roles of both stuntman and action director in several iconic films, including "The Young Master" (1980), "Dragon Strike" (1982), and "Project A" (1983). His impressive skill set and dedication to the craft made him a key figure in Chan's productions.
In pursuit of new opportunities, Bruce eventually moved to Los Angeles to expand his horizons in Hollywood. To enhance his filmmaking skills, he enrolled in the UCLA Extension Entertainment Studies program. His commitment to his craft paid off when he served as the 2nd Unit Director for the 2004 film "GWG: Girl With Gun," produced by Russ Emanuel's Russem Productions. Bruce's journey reflects his passion for action cinema and his relentless drive to evolve as a filmmaker, bridging the vibrant worlds of Hong Kong and Hollywood.
