Golshifteh Farahani, born on July 10, 1983, is a prominent Iranian actress who holds both Iranian and French citizenship. Her journey in the performing arts began at the tender age of six, when she first took to the stage in theater. Over her illustrious career, she has appeared in more than 40 films, many of which have received acclaim at international film festivals.

Farahani’s portfolio includes notable Iranian productions such as "Half Moon" directed by Bahman Ghobadi, "Santoori" by Dariush Mehrjui, "M for Mother" by Rasool Mollagholipour, and the critically acclaimed "About Elly" from Asghar Farhadi. In a groundbreaking move, she made history as the first Iranian actress to feature in a major Hollywood film with her role in Ridley Scott's "Body of Lies" (2008), sharing the screen with stars like Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe.
