Biography
Jim O'Heir, born on February 4, 1962, is a well-known American actor whose career spans several decades. O'Heir made his mark in the vibrant Chicago theater scene during the 1980s and 1990s, performing with the theater troupe White Noise. His theatrical repertoire includes notable plays such as The Book of Blanche, Stumpy's Gang, and Ad-Nauseam.
In addition to his stage work, O'Heir has appeared in various films and made guest appearances on popular television shows like Friends, Boston Legal, Malcolm in the Middle, Star Trek: Voyager, ER, and Parenthood, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
In 2000, he landed a recurring role on the Comedy Central series Strip Mall, where he portrayed Harvey Krudup, the less-than-charming husband to the main character, Tammi Tyler, played by Julie Brown. O'Heir's most recognized role came in 2013 when he joined the cast of NBC's hit comedy series Parks and Recreation. As Jerry Gergich, he embodied a lovable, bumbling employee of the parks department who often finds himself the target of his colleagues' jokes.
