Biography
Benedict Wong, born on July 3, 1971, is a talented English actor whose career spans both stage and screen. He first made a mark in the film industry with his performance in "Dirty Pretty Things" (2002), which garnered him a nomination for a British Independent Film Award. In addition to his film debut, he showcased his comedic talents in the BBC sitcom "15 Storeys High," which aired from 2002 to 2004.
Wong's filmography expanded with notable roles in "On a Clear Day" (2005), "Sunshine" and "Grow Your Own" (both 2007), and "Moon" (2009). He also appeared in the children's series "Spirit Warriors" in 2010, further establishing his versatility as an actor.
His career took a significant turn in the 2010s, as he portrayed Kublai Khan in the Netflix series "Marco Polo" (2014-2016). Wong also appeared as Bruce Ng in the acclaimed film "The Martian" (2015) and became widely recognized for his role as Wong in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with "Doctor Strange" (2016).
