Biography
Anouk Aimée, born Nicole Françoise Florence Dreyfus on April 27, 1932, and who passed away on June 18, 2024, was a celebrated French actress. Her acting journey commenced at the young age of 14 in 1947, spanning over seven decades until 2019, during which she featured in a remarkable 70 films. In 1967, she received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama. Aimée gained international recognition for her iconic role in the film A Man and a Woman (1966), which also earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
Her remarkable talent was further acknowledged at the 1980 Cannes Film Festival, where she was honored with the Best Actress Award for her outstanding performance in Marco Bellocchio's film, Salto nel vuoto (Leap Into The Void). In that same festival, her co-star Michel Piccoli was awarded the Best Actor Prize, highlighting the film's critical acclaim.
