She began her acting career at a young age and gained widespread acclaim for her portrayal of Raja Teele in a series of adaptations of Oskar Luts' beloved novels. These adaptations include "Kevade" (1969), "Suvi" (1976), and "Sügis" (1990), culminating in the 2020 film "Talve" (Where the Heart Is), which revisits the characters from Luts’s literary world.

Following a significant period in front of the camera, Hein transitioned away from acting to focus on her talents behind the scenes.
