Biography
Dame Kristin Ann Scott Thomas, born on May 24, 1960, is a celebrated British actress known for her versatile roles in film and theater. With five BAFTA nominations and an Olivier Award, she won the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994) and received the Olivier Award for Best Actress in 2008 for The Seagull. Her acclaimed performance in The English Patient (1996) earned her an Oscar nomination.
Scott Thomas's film career began with Under the Cherry Moon (1986), and she garnered attention with A Handful of Dust (1988), winning an Evening Standard Film Award. Her notable films include Bitter Moon (1992), Mission: Impossible (1996), and Darkest Hour (2017). She has also appeared in the Apple TV+ series Slow Horses since 2022.
