Biography
Jennifer Ann "Jenny" Agutter, born on December 20, 1952, is a renowned English actress celebrated for her work in film and television. She first gained attention as a child actress in the mid-1960s, notably starring in the BBC series The Railway Children and its film adaptation, which launched her career.
Transitioning to adult roles, Agutter made a mark in Hollywood with memorable performances, including Alex Price in An American Werewolf in London, Jessica 6 in Logan’s Run, Joanne Simpson in Child’s Play 2, and Jill Mason in the acclaimed play and film Equus. In addition to her acting, she has been involved in sound recording since the 1990s and actively supports various causes, notably serving as a patron for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
After taking a hiatus from the screen, Agutter returned to television in the new millennium, appearing in popular series such as the British spy drama Spooks and the beloved medical drama Call the Midwife.
