Rokuro Naya (納谷 六朗, Naya Rokurō), born on October 20, 1932, and passing on November 17, 2014, was a distinguished Japanese voice actor, actor, and narrator who left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. A lifelong resident of Tokyo, Naya was affiliated with Mausu Promotion until his death, contributing significantly to the world of voice acting.
Naya hailed from a talented family; his brother, Gorō Naya (1929–2013), was also a renowned voice actor, and his sister-in-law, Kachiko Hino, made her name as both an actress and voice actor. His wife, Mitsue Naya, served as the president of Mausu Promotion, while his eldest son, Ryosuke Naya, followed in his father’s footsteps and also took on the role of president at the agency.
Throughout his career, Rokuro Naya lent his voice to a variety of beloved characters in anime, video games, and television. His work showcased his versatility and deep understanding of character portrayal, earning him a devoted fan base and respect from peers in the industry.
