Biography
Julian Wells, originally from San Francisco, California, grew up in the suburban community of Birmingham, Michigan. She began her educational journey at Marian High School, an all-girls Catholic preparatory institution. After completing her high school education, she pursued a degree in drama at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, graduating in 1998.
Wells' professional journey commenced with appearances in commercials and minor roles on television series like The Sopranos and Entourage. She also served as a body double for notable personalities including Kim Cattrall, Kate Moss, and Ashley Judd. From 2001 to 2010, she starred in a variety of B movies and softcore erotic films, particularly with Seduction Cinema, adopting the stage name Julian Wells.
Transitioning into a different facet of the entertainment industry, she took on the pseudonym Suzy McCoppin and became a nightlife correspondent for various celebrity magazines such as Life & Style and In Touch, while also serving as an LA correspondent for British tabloids like The Daily Mail and The Sun. In 2008, she joined Playboy Magazine as a nightlife and sex columnist and has been a comedic figure in the online sphere. Her contributions extended to Playboy Radio on Sirius and she hosted the podcast Under Cover With Suzy McCoppin until July 2014.
In 2014, alongside co-author Allison Swan, she released a fictional work titled KissnTell through Full Fathom Five, which caught the attention of E!, leading to its television rights being acquired for a potential scripted adaptation.
