Laura Elena Harring, born on March 3, 1964, is a versatile American actress and former beauty queen, recognized for her captivating performances in both film and television. Originally named Laura Herring Martínez, she was also known as Gräfin von Bismarck-Schönhausen. Harring gained national attention when she won the title of Miss USA in 1985, which paved the way for her career in the entertainment industry.

She is perhaps most renowned for her role as Rita in David Lynch's critically acclaimed film *Mulholland Drive* (2001).
