Anthony Frank "Tony" Hawk, born on May 12, 1968, is a celebrated American professional skateboarder renowned for his groundbreaking achievements in the sport. He is particularly famous for being the first skateboarder to successfully execute the 900-degree spin and for his series of popular video games produced by Activision. Hawk's contributions have solidified his status as one of the most influential figures in modern vertical skateboarding.

Growing up in San Diego, California, Hawk was known for his high energy and "hyperactive" nature. His parents recognized skateboarding as a constructive outlet for his energy and encouraged his passion. By the age of fourteen, Hawk turned professional, quickly making a name for himself in the skateboarding community. His historic 900 trick in 1999 marked a pivotal moment in his career. In 2002, he launched the Boom Boom HuckJam, an extreme sports exhibition and tour that debuted in Las Vegas.
