Barbara Billingsley (December 22, 1915 – October 16, 2010) was a renowned American actress celebrated for her work in film, television, voice, and stage.
Billingsley rose to fame in the 1950s with her role in the movie The Careless Years, where she starred alongside Natalie Trundy. However, she is most famously remembered for portraying the quintessential 1950s mother, June Cleaver, in the beloved television series Leave It to Beaver, which aired from 1957 to 1963. Her portrayal of June Cleaver became an enduring symbol of the ideal American family and showcased her exceptional talent and charm. Billingsley reprised her iconic role in the sequel series, The New Leave It to Beaver, which ran from 1983 to 1989.
