June Allyson (born October 7, 1917 – died July 8, 2006) was a celebrated American actress renowned for her work in film and television during the 1940s and 1950s. She gained fame as one of the leading stars at MGM, where she became a prominent figure in the industry. Allyson's talent earned her critical acclaim, culminating in a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her role in the 1951 film Too Young to Kiss.
Between 1959 and 1961, she transitioned to the small screen as the host and occasional star of her own CBS anthology series, The DuPont Show with June Allyson. This show showcased her versatility and charm, allowing her to connect with audiences in a new format.
In later years, she became well-known to a different audience as a spokesperson for Depend undergarments, demonstrating her ability to adapt and remain relevant in the public eye.
