Winona Laura Horowitz, born on October 29, 1971, is an acclaimed American actress known professionally as Winona Ryder. She has earned numerous accolades throughout her career, including a Golden Globe Award, and has received two Academy Award nominations. Ryder first gained recognition for her unique roles in earlier films before stepping into more significant parts during the 1990s.

Her acting journey began with her debut in the film Lucas (1986), but it was her standout performance in Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice (1988) that catapulted her into the spotlight. Ryder solidified her status with key roles in iconic films such as Heathers (1989), Mermaids (1990), Edward Scissorhands (1990), and Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992).
