Martin McDougall
Biography
Martin McDougall is an Anglo-American actor with a rich heritage. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, to a Scottish father and an American mother but spent his formative years in New Jersey. Pursuing his passion for the performing arts, Martin studied theatre and Art History at the College of Wooster in Ohio, before honing his craft for two years at the prestigious Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
With a career that spans nearly three decades, Martin has made significant contributions to theatre, film, and television. He has collaborated with renowned directors such as Steven Spielberg on "Saving Private Ryan," Paul Greengrass in "Green Zone," Luc Besson for "The Fifth Element," and Christopher Nolan on "Batman Begins." His filmography also includes works with Fernando Meirelles in "360" and Roger Michell in "Hyde Park on Hudson." In the television realm, his recent roles include appearances in "The Honourable Woman" and "Utopia."
Martin’s stage work is equally impressive, having performed at The National Theatre in "Death of a Salesman," The Royal Court in "Aunt Dan and Lemon," and in "Labyrinth" at Hampstead Theatre. He resides in London with his wife, Desiree Kongerød, a circus performer, and their son Aksel, continuing to thrive in the vibrant arts scene.
