Kazuya Nakai (中井 和哉), born on November 25, 1967, in Kobe, Japan, is a celebrated voice actor and narrator whose career has left an indelible mark on the anime and gaming industries. With a passion for anime from an early age, Nakai initially pursued interests in volleyball and archery. At 25, while working as a civil servant in a technical capacity, he made a pivotal decision to change his career trajectory. He enrolled in voice acting school, dedicating his days off and weekends to hone his craft.

Nakai’s voice acting journey began with narration, but he quickly rose to prominence with his portrayal of Roronoa Zoro in the beloved anime series One Piece, a role he had long aspired to play.
