Christina Ann "Kristy" McNichol, born on September 11, 1962, is a renowned American actress celebrated for her impactful performances on television. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Leticia “Buddy” Lawrence in the acclaimed drama series *Family*, a role that showcased her talent and garnered her a dedicated fan base. McNichol further solidified her place in television history with her character Barbara Weston in the popular sitcom *Empty Nest*, which was a spin-off of *The Golden Girls*.
